In a well-received concert sponsored by the German Embassy on Sunday, 17 November at St. Paul’s  United Church in Montego Bay , visiting German organist Gabriele Schenkel performed pieces written by known and lesser-known German 17th and 18th century composers as well as some of her own works.

In a well-received concert sponsored by the German Embassy on Sunday, 17 November at St. Paul’s  United Church in Montego Bay , visiting German organist Gabriele Schenkel performed pieces written by known and lesser-known German 17th and 18th century composers as well as some of her own works. The Baroque programme included organ music written by Johann Sebastian Bach, Dietrich Buxtehude. Johann Pachelbel , Johann Kaspar Simon, Georg Friedrich Kauffmann, Johann Friedrich Walther and Nicolaus Bruhns. The Embassy wishes to give special thanks to the Board of Elders of St. Paul’s United Church for hosting the concert on a last-minute request.

On 15 December, Mrs. Schenkel will give a second organ concert at Holy Cross Church in Kingston.
